Key Features

The Power-On monitor feature in Intel IT Director reports systems that are left powered on outside of normal business hours. The small business owner can use this information to create business practices for turning systems off at night and saving energy. USB devices can be a source of security breaches, either by introducing unwanted viruses or allowing unauthorized personal to copy critical business data. Intel IT Director provides a method to restrict types of USB devices that can be used on each computer. Intel® Matrix Storage Manager enables data backup to a second hard drive using Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) to manage a Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID). Intel IT Director monitors systems on the network that use Intel Matrix Storage Manager for backup.

Available on Intel® platforms with Intel® vPro™ technology

This utility is available for Intel® Core™2 processor with vPro™ technology-based systems. Specific security and manageability features as well as power-efficient performance make these systems the first choice of business customers. Supported Intel® vPro™ technology-based platforms include Intel® Core™2 Duo processors and Intel® Core™2 Quad processors, as well as the Intel® Q45 Express chipset.
